We hiked for miles, forded streams, stared at the clouds and took #socialdistancing to the extreme this weekend. Much needed for my sanity #optoutside #thegreatoutdoors🌲 #backpacking
A few #springflowers making my #lunchbreakworkout more cheerful ☀️ Trying to see the upside of #workingfromhome
Love this #iowa episode of @ontheroad2020 so much! Kudos to @annelagamayo @alexandrasking and the tireless CNN embeds for making the #2020election🇺🇸 come alive
Turns out I just like making pretty things in the kitchen, whether they involve sugar or not. 🤷♀️ Fried eggs with garlicky green rice (Recipe from #nytimescooking )
In 2019, I fell in love with elephants in Africa, got drenched by one of the world’s largest waterfalls, and learned to camp without a tent. The boy and I celebrated our fifth wedding anniversary, and snuggled with our beautiful new niece. I MAY have finally figured out how to not totally suck at volleyball. This year I attended my first political debate, and worked with some of the best journalists (and people) in the world to cover a never-ending news cycle. I signed up for a creative writing class, and started a book club, both of which reminded me that real life will always be stranger than fiction 😂 I met a group of strong, successful, women leaders through ONA who have promised to guide me in the future ... and reconnected with a few good friends from the past. 2019 took its toll on my physical and mental health for sure, but I am so grateful for all the opportunities it offered. Happy New Year everyone!
